CPD Approved Courses and Training
Official CPD Course and Training Approval by IASE Africa
IASE Africa approves courses, training programmes, workshops, and learning activities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
Only Recognised CPD Providers may submit courses for approval, ensuring that all CPD approved training meets structured learning, governance, and quality assurance standards.
What Are CPD Approved Courses and Training?
CPD Approved Courses and Training are structured learning offerings that have been formally reviewed and approved by IASE Africa for the allocation of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
Approved courses may include:
Short courses and professional training programmes
Workshops, seminars, and masterclasses
Conferences and learning events
Online, hybrid, or in-person training
For accreditation purposes, these offerings are collectively referred to as CPD Programmes or Activities.
All approved programs are subject to the IASE Africa CPD trademark guidelines.
Who Can Apply for CPD Course or Training Approval?
Only organisations that are already recognised as IASE Africa CPD Providers may submit courses or training activities for CPD approval.
This ensures that:
Provider governance and delivery capability have already been assessed
Course review focuses on learning design and CPD value
CPD points are allocated consistently and credibly
Important: CPD course approval is not available without prior CPD Provider Recognition.
What CPD Course Approval Does — and Does Not Do
What CPD Course Approval Confirms
That a course or training activity meets recognised CPD learning standards
That CPD points have been formally allocated by IASE Africa
That the activity supports structured professional development
What CPD Course Approval Does Not Mean
It does not certify subject-matter expertise or licensing
It does not replace industry or statutory accreditation
It does not imply endorsement of professional competence beyond CPD learning value
CPD approval relates to learning structure, integrity, and effort, not professional qualification.
Why CPD Course Approval Matters
In an increasingly crowded professional learning market, CPD approval provides an independent quality signal that helps learners, employers, and regulators distinguish between unstructured training and credible professional development.
CPD Course Approval by IASE Africa matters because it:
Confirms that a course is designed for structured professional learning
Provides clarity on the time and learning effort required
Supports consistency in CPD point recognition across organisations
Builds trust among learners, employers, and professional bodies
For training providers, CPD approval strengthens course credibility and improves market acceptance without replacing industry-specific accreditation or licensing.
Key Benefits of CPD Course Approval
CPD Course Approval offers clear advantages for both providers and participants:
For Training Providers
Ability to market courses as IASE Africa CPD Approved
Allocation of official CPD points
Increased credibility with corporate clients and professional audiences
Alignment with a recognised quality framework
Clear differentiation in competitive training markets
For Learners and Employers
Confidence that learning supports genuine professional development
Transparent understanding of CPD effort and outcomes
Improved recognition of learning across roles, sectors, and regions
How CPD Points Are Allocated for Courses and Training
IASE Africa allocates CPD points based on learning effort and design, not on course marketing claims.
CPD points are assessed using:
Defined learning outcomes
Structured learning duration
Level of participant engagement
Assessment or evaluation mechanisms
Quality of learning design
All courses are reviewed using the ESG ASCEND™ Framework, ensuring consistency, integrity, and professional relevance.
CPD points reflect structured learning commitment, not licensing or certification equivalence.
Governance and Quality Standards Applied (ESG ASCEND™)
At course level, the ESG ASCEND™ Framework is applied to assess:
Learning objectives and outcomes
Engagement and accessibility
Assessment and evaluation design
Content coherence and relevance
Professional integrity and inclusion
This framework ensures CPD approved courses are credible, measurable, and professionally meaningful, without positioning IASE Africa as a subject-matter regulator.
