IASE Certification Renewal – Guidance for African Members
Commitment to ongoing learning is the hallmark of a true professional.
That’s why, like every respected profession, IASE requires annual re-certification to maintain your ISF® or ISB® designation.
All renewals are processed by IASE Global through their secure platform at MyIASE.com, but IASE Africa is here to support African members throughout the process.
Why Renewal Matters
Change is the only constant. ESG professionals operate in a fast-evolving environment where new regulations, risks, and frameworks emerge constantly.
To stay relevant and respected, IASE members must demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and ethical practice.
Unlike academic degrees, which reflect past learning, IASE certifications are renewed annually to assure employers, clients, and the public of ongoing competence and professionalism.
Who Must Complete Recertification?
| Segment | You Are Required to Recertify If... |
|---|---|
| Active Members | You certified before 1 Jan 2025 and haven’t recertified this year |
| Lapsed Members | You haven't renewed your membership for over 12 months |
| New Members (2025) | You passed your exam and joined in 2025 — you’ll start in 2026 |
💡 First-year CPD is waived only if you applied for membership within 1 month of receiving your board exam results.
Who Manages Recertification?
All IASE certifications are issued and renewed through IASE Global, the international standards body.
Recertification is managed via their platform: MyIASE.com
IASE Africa, as a regional member organisation, does not process renewals directly but plays a key role in supporting communication and assisting African candidates throughout the process.
🔒 IASE Africa does not collect renewal payments or process renewals directly.
