Understand the Multiple-Choice Exam Question Format

Each multiple-choice item on the ISF® Level I and Level II board exams consist of a stem (a question, a statement, and/or table) as well as four answer choices (A, B, C or D).

Understand the IASE Computer Based Exams

All IASE exams are administered exclusively online. They can be written from anywhere and on any device of your choice that meets our minimum device requirements! We use state-of-the-art, cyber-security-rich exam technology for all our exams. This is supplemented by proctors who closely watch candidates for any kind of cheating. 

Cyber-security in Computer-based Testing

We have strict cyber-security measures in place, and we work continuously with our IT experts to thoroughly define any potential risks and solutions. Our selected system has a track record of success and years of experience in this area, and we partner with them to implement security measures that mitigate any potential risks. We take all available precautions to secure the exams.

Impact on the Relevance of the IASE Program

Our primary objective for the IASE Program is, and has always been, to develop future professionals who exemplify the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Our computer-based testing methodology allows us to ease access to our exams for candidates around the world without compromising on quality.

Who developed the questions?

All questions are written and quality-assured by a team of experienced ESG experts and academicians from around the world who make up the IASE Academic Committee. All questions come directly from the syllabus and are reviewed to be sure they are consistent with the expectations set therein.

How long does it take to study?

The ISF® and ISB® Programs enable candidates to customize their preparation to match their individual needs and circumstances. Following are some numbers to consider in planning a study strategy for the respective board exam.

  • Successful candidates report studying on average over 130 hours for Level I, and 210 hours for Level II
  • About 70% of candidates pass the Level I exam on their first attempt.
