CPD Approval Credits

CPD Approval Credits provide Recognised CPD Providers with a flexible and cost-efficient way to manage CPD program approval submissions over time. Instead of paying CPD program approval fees each time a course or activity is submitted for review, providers may pre-purchase CPD Approval Credits and use them incrementally across future applications—while benefiting from structured CPD points pricing bands designed for bulk submissions.

This option does not change how programs are assessed. All CPD points approval decisions remain independent, criteria-based, and subject to active CPD Provider Recognition in line with IASE Africa’s CPD Accreditation Policy.

What CPD Approval Credits are (and what they are not)

CPD Approval Credits are prepaid CPD credits that represent advance payment for administrative review and evaluation capacity. They allow providers to plan ahead, budget predictably, and reduce the overall CPD approval cost when submitting multiple programs over a defined period.

CPD Approval Credits:

  • Do not guarantee approval

  • Do not alter CPD program approval standards

  • Do not prioritise or fast-track applications

They simply provide an alternative way to manage CPD accreditation fees for providers who anticipate ongoing or repeated CPD provider program approval submissions.

Who CPD Approval Credits are designed for

CPD Approval Credits are particularly suitable for:

  • Providers offering multiple CPD programs across the year

  • Institutions with rolling or recurring CPD calendars

  • Organisations that update course content periodically

  • Providers seeking predictable CPD provider accreditation costs

If your organisation submits only one or two programs occasionally, the standard pay-as-you-go option may be more appropriate. CPD Approval Credits are designed for volume, continuity, and administrative efficiency, not obligation.

What CPD Approval Credits are (and what they are not)

The process is intentionally simple and aligned with professional-body best practice:

  1. Select a CPD Approval Credit package based on your anticipated submission volume.

  2. Purchase CPD Approval Credits upfront (credits are allocated to your recognised provider profile).

  3. Submit CPD programs one at a time using the standard CPD Program Approval application form.

  4. For each submission, the required CPD points approval value is deducted from your credit balance.

  5. When your balance is low, you may top up by purchasing additional CPD Approval Credits.

At no point is a separate approval process introduced. The same form, the same criteria, and the same governance oversight apply.

CPD Approval Credits vs pay-as-you-go submissions

Both options use the same CPD program approval process. The difference lies only in how fees are managed.

Pay-as-you-go

  • Pay for each submission individually

  • Higher per-CPD-point rate

  • Suitable for occasional submissions

CPD Approval Credits

  • Pre-purchase credits in bulk

  • Access lower CPD points pricing bands

  • Use credits flexibly across future submissions

  • Suitable for ongoing or planned bulk CPD approval

This pricing differentiation reflects administrative efficiency and volume, not reduced scrutiny or altered standards.

CPD Approval Credit packages and pricing bands

CPD Approval Credits are offered in structured packages designed to reflect different submission volumes and organisational needs. Each package provides a different effective CPD approval cost per point, with larger packages offering improved pricing efficiency.

Typical package structures may include:

  • Starter packages for small providers

  • Value packages for regular submissions

  • Institutional packages for high-volume CPD providers

All pricing is published transparently, and all packages remain subject to the validity, expiry, and non-refundability provisions set out in the CPD Accreditation Policy.

Validity, governance, and policy alignment

CPD Approval Credits:

  • Are available only to Recognised CPD Providers

  • Are non-transferable between entities

  • Remain subject to the CPD Accreditation Policy

Approved CPD programs:

  • Are granted for a defined approval period

  • May not extend beyond the validity of CPD Provider Recognition

  • Automatically lapse if provider recognition lapses, is suspended, or withdrawn

Purchasing CPD Approval Credits does not change these rules.

CPD Credit packages (pricing bands)

CPD Approval Credits are offered in structured packages that reflect different submission volumes and levels of administrative efficiency. Larger packages attract lower effective CPD approval cost per point, while approval standards and governance remain unchanged.
